Prowling New Mauville wasn’t exactly what he thought he would be doing. On a bright sunny Wednesday.

But here he was clad casually in what was best described as the most generic-off-brand looking set of jogging clothes known to man.

He wasn't here for leisure though. No, this was work. He knew full well that if he wanted to continue his ‘job’ he needed to stay as sharp and well prepared as possible. That’s why he was here walking side by side with one of his Pokémon, an Infernape. The aggressive looking fire-type’s eyes gazing around looking for any opportunity to jump on a wild Pokémon or trainer alike.

Thalia followed behind her Tinkatuff as the little pink creature scanned the expanse of New Mauville for materials for her hammer. While her trainer was not one for creation beyond the means of weaponry, Jayce always had her eye out for bits and pieces to upgrade her pugilistic device and aid, one day, in her evolution.

Gerald had been a bit lost in thought as he walked about. Almost walking into a Tinkatuff, just barely managing to dodge it as it continued on its path.

For a moment they both considered capturing the little thing, but then a trainer appeared before them as she clearly addressed the Pokémon.

Maybe another time…

The trainer was quick to offer Gerald a question, to which he replied perhaps a bit bluntly. “Not really. First time here, actually. How about you?”

Meanwhile the Fiery monkey’s gaze fell upon the ridged back of a Lairon snoozing not too far. Not inclined to stand around and listen as his trainer chatted with the other human, he instead quickly moved over and began wrestling with the now-ambushed Lairon until it gave up and surrendered.
